Avarie F (5/5 stars, 11 months ago): This facility is cool in that it recycles materials that would otherwise be waste and turns them into useful and free or very inexpensive resources. The free compost is always awesome though I try to mix other things with it in my garden for a more complete nutritional profile. It's getting pretty darn busy for those days I wonder if there are plans to make it less of a madhouse. To respond to another reviewer stating that there are no worms or bugs in the soil (compost?) they got... That's absolutely a green flag. If there are bugs/worms in what you get there's a VERY high chance you're also spreading pests diseases and harmful invasive species. Composting done correctly (and especially industrial composting) means that the material reaches temperatures of about 160°F which is to ensure that as many pests fungus and seeds etc. are killed in the process.

No bugs worms etc. I then did a soil test and it was very low in nutrients so I am now adding this soil to my home compost to try and boost the value. You could possibly use it to add drainage to your existing soil but do not count on it for all the usual benefits of compost.
