This initiative helps county residents access waste disposal and management services more easily.

Arlington Recycle Warehouse is a non-profit that recycles mattresses, box springs, and household appliances to keep them out of landfills. Prohibited items include asbestos, electronics, medical waste, and more. Visitors are advised to call ahead for loads larger than 40 gallons and to check for any quantity limits or restrictions that may apply at other drop-off sites.

Households come Wednesday through Saturday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Qualifying small quantity generator businesses book appointments for Wednesday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. and pay by cash, check, or card. The accepted list runs from acids, bleach, and drain cleaners to gasoline, diesel, pesticides, latex and oil-based paint, solvents, pool chemicals, motor oil, antifreeze, batteries, and mercury items, plus sharps from households only. Asbestos, electronics, medicine, microwaves, refrigerators, and explosives are refused. The station closes on the Friday and Saturday after Thanksgiving along with major holidays.
