The facility is open to the public from Thursday to Sunday, 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., excluding major holidays. It handles approximately 6,000 residents and businesses annually and accepts up to 15 gallons or 125 pounds of household hazardous waste per trip. Accepted items include agricultural plastic containers, carpet, construction debris, electronic waste, pool chemicals, and sharps, among others. Not accepted are explosives, radioactive materials, medical waste, sewage, solar panels, controlled substances, ammunitions, refrigerating units, gas-powered tools, air conditioning units, tires, large appliances, and large compressed gas cylinders. The facility also has a Re-Use Room where usable and non-banned products can be taken home for free by county residents.
