H&S Metals Recycling is a family-owned and operated ferrous and non-ferrous metal recycler and processor in Casa Grande, in business since 2008. The yard pays cash for copper, brass, aluminum, steel, beverage cans, radiators, catalytic converters, batteries, and rims, and it buys junk cars. The buy list runs deep on grades: #1 and #2 copper, bright and shiny, red, yellow, and dirty brass, HMS-1 and HMS-2 steel, cast iron, stainless, and auto, truck, marine, and telecom batteries. Tin is the specialty: the plant has processed tin-bearing byproducts since opening in 2000 and ships tin filtercake to smelters. Cobalt, nickel, copper, zinc, molybdenum, tungsten, and lead and tin materials are also processed, though the company says it has no interest in becoming a scrap dealer. Material arrives in tankers, totes, drums, roll-offs, Gaylord boxes, and super sacks. A completed profile form and a representative sample start the approval process, and the company coordinates freight, issues recycling certificates, and provides metallurgical consulting. The zero-landfill operation uses hydrometallurgical and pyrometallurgical processing and reports no lost time accidents since 2000.
