What are the recycling center's hours?
The center is open Tuesday through Saturday, 8 AM to 5 PM. It is closed Sunday and Monday.
Is there a fee to use the recycling center?
Yes. As of January 1, 2024, an annual membership card is required. Residents pay $50 per year and non-residents pay $100 per year. Cards are available at City Hall, 317 Main Street.
What materials are accepted?
Accepted materials include newspaper (with glossy inserts, magazines, and catalogs), #1 and #2 plastics (bottles and jugs), aluminum and steel cans, corrugated cardboard and brown paper sacks, and used motor oil and filters. Containers should be rinsed and lids removed; boxes should be flattened; used oil must be brought in sealed containers with filters drained.
What items cannot be dropped off at the recycling center?
The center does not accept antifreeze, hydraulic oil, gasoline, kerosene, diesel, or any chemicals. Glass items including light bulbs, plate glass, tempered glass, mirrors, ceramics, and beverage glasses are also not accepted. Call City Hall for disposal instructions on prohibited items.

So nice to have a place to drop off recycling locally. They keep it nice and neat. They accept: #1 and #2 bottles cardboard paper aluminum cans metal and used motor oil. They don't take glass.

Useful but costs $100/year for non-residents 50 for residents. Helpful staff onsite
