Sioux Falls Regional Sanitary Landfill

Melissa Prostrollo (5/5 stars, 4 years ago): Very slick and easy! I went to get free compost for my garden and outdoor potted plants. Just tell the attendant what you're there for and they'll tell you which route - follow the signs scoop your dirt and you're good to go. I appreciated the convenient Saturday hours and it appeared a lot of others did too because there were a lot of people there - mostly for dropoffs. I was the only one scooping compost at the time though it looked like a pickup had just finished when I got there. No one even made fun of me for showing up to the landfill in my little bug. 😀

Chris V (5/5 stars, 2 years ago): I've been to a handful of landfills and the Sioux Falls Sanitary Landfill is practically stress-free compared to other operations! The employees are courteous and helpful.
