Republic Services

Shawn Sommerfeld (1/5 stars, in the last week): We started with WDS and then Republic bought them out. We gave them a few years but the constant price increases and no communication when they change pick up dates has convinced us to change to a different service. 2 hours on the phone and services still aren't canceled so I maybe delivering their dumpster to their Laramie center myself. The one star is for the driver who did everything right while on my property. Add-on. The three year agreement that they send please ensure you read it carefully. The terms pretty much restrict any customer rights. From my reading they can raise their rates/fees whenever they want while notification is done through the invoice the raise first appears you agree to only arbitrate issues with a company they choose and they auto renew every three years without giving you a choice except within a 180 day window before the renewal date. They are expensive when you use their service and even more if you want to cancel out early.

Mk Huebner (1/5 stars, 6 months ago): BEWARE!!! PLEASE PAY ATTENTION TO THESE REVIEWS AND DO NOT MAKE OUR MISTAKE! THERE IS A REASON WHY THEY HAVE THOUSANDS OF 1 STAR REVIEWS! 3 years ago we signed up for garbage services with Wyoming Disposal Services they were sold to Republics and it all went down hill. After seeing other local garbage companies charging a fraction of the cost I was paying I tried to cancel my services with Republics and was told I was stuck in a "contract" and would have to pay $857 to get out of it. First off what kind of garbage company requires you to sign a 36 month contract?! Second we did not sign up for a renewal of contract apparently it was automatic. They have a lot of nerve to operate this way.

Powell Enterprises (1/5 stars, 5 months ago): DO NOT USE REPUBLIC SERVICES. We started with Wyoming Disposal (they were fantastic) but Republic Services bought them out and we have had nothing but problems and increased costs since. I could list all the problems we have had but that would make this review extremely long. One star is the lowest rating possible so that is what they get.
