What are the landfill hours?
The Rapid City Landfill is open Monday through Saturday, 7:00am to 4:00pm. Administrative hours are Monday through Friday, 7:30am to 4:00pm. Residential collection routes run Monday through Friday, 7:00am to 3:30pm.
Where is the landfill located and how do I contact them?
The landfill is at 5555 S Hwy 79, Rapid City, SD 57701. You can reach the Solid Waste Division by phone at 605-355-3496 or by email at rcrecycles@rcgov.org.
What if I have extra garbage that wasn't collected?
Crews can return for extra garbage for a $25 fee. Call 605-355-3496 to schedule, and make sure the garbage is inside the can rather than set beside it.
