I had a dryer I was taking to the dump I wondered if maybe a recycle place would take it They gave me $6 for it the next day I was leaving home I drove around my neighborhood and found a refrigerator stove and propane grill out for trash I put them in the back of my truck took them to recycle and they gave me $21 some days I drive around all day and get nothing Scrapping doesn't make minimum wage but it's a little extra money on trash day copper pays good but I've found at 5 cents a pound for steel I make the most bringing in 900 lb loads of steel the staff are friendly and helpful

Everyone that works there is cool people but what I didn't realize is that taking my scrap there was literally screwing me out of 200 bucks. I had been saving for the last year and had 370 lbs of data cable alone at .61 a lb about 60+ lbs of #1 electric wire which i was paid a little over $1 lb and some other type of insulated copper which also was at like .55 a lb. The next Monday I went to work and was telling a guy I worked with who scraps often and told me I got screwed come to find out a place not even 20 mins away in Leesburg inter county recycling paid 1.00 a lb. So I called up there and sure enough cat 6 is bought at 1.00 a lb. #1 at $2.00 a lbs and the other wire at $2.00 a lb. I don't understand how i could have gotten screwed out of so much money I easily lost out on over $200 bucks and after saving for an entire year I'm beyond pissed. Won't be coming back

This is not a bad scrap yard I highly recommend if you need some quick cash the staff is very friendly and gets down to business I only do business with them and one other scrap yard on the West Coast.
