The City of St. Petersburg offers recycling collection service to residential utility customers to reduce landfill waste. Plastics guidelines specify items like plastic bags, Styrofoam, and thin plastic packaging as non-recyclable. Residents can use the Waste Wizard for verification. Recycling bins should be placed correctly for collection, and missed pickups can be rescheduled by contacting the Sanitation Department. Zone-specific recycling calendars are provided annually, and recyclable materials can be dropped off at designated brush sites.
