About this center

ProTek Recycling collects electronics from businesses, schools, and government offices across New York City, New Jersey, Connecticut, and Massachusetts and processes them at its own warehouse. Two Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute engineering graduates founded the company, and it has served more than 2,000 clients in Manhattan. ProTek's own employees run every pickup, with no subcontractors handling collection or transport, and large volume business pickups carry no pickup charge once minimum quantities are met. The company is a New York State registered electronics collection and recycling facility, holds NAID AAA certification, and is a licensed New York State document destruction contractor. Serialized hard drive shredding runs in house or on site, and customers receive a certificate of destruction.
