North Pine Recycling Center

The Pine County Solid Waste department manages household, industrial, and commercial waste in Pine County, offering recycling services at three locations: North Pine, Central Pine (recycling only), and South Pine. The North Pine facility is open on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, accepting various items at specified rates. The South Pine location operates on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays as well. Pine County residents receive a 50% subsidy for disposing of tires, appliances, mattresses, and electronics at the Hinckley Transfer Station, open Monday to Friday and every other Saturday. Household Hazardous Waste drop-off sites are available in Pine City and Willow River from mid-May to September, with specific hours for each location. Additionally, the Bruno Recycling Sheds are open year-round for self-serve recycling, with a request to report any illegal garbage dumping. Staff members include Nikki Novy, Michael Weinacht, Samantha Gassert, and Josh Butterfield, each specializing in different environmental aspects like wetlands, hazardous waste, and permits.
