Mt. Diablo Resource Recovery is a self-haul transfer station and resource recovery facility in Pittsburg, California. The site includes a materials recovery facility, a construction and demolition recovery line, and a full-service transfer station, and diverts about 90% of what it processes from landfill. Beyond general waste and recycling, it turns green waste into compost and recycles electronics, mattresses, tires, and carpet (as a certified Carpet America Recovery Effort partner). The facility is open 363 days a year, closed only on Christmas and New Year's Day, serving commercial contractors from 5 AM to 6 PM and the general public from 7 AM to 6 PM.
