Metro Regional Government

On Monday June 18th this transfer station (i.e. North) was closed due to a power line that was down across the road. I looked at the website at 9 AM to see if it was open and the website said it was open from 8-5 this day. Just a few blocks from the site I was stopped and informed by an employee that it was closed. Instead I had to travel 35 minutes south to the southern Metro Transfer station along with many other frustrated people looking for a place to unload Hazmat and trash. It was a rare circumstance but why can't they have a real-time website that warns people when the dump is closed for the day?

These guys and gals do a really good job the price is good and they're all very friendly. They don't take everything though. Be prepared to take a few things back if needed.
