About This Center

The Village of Los Lunas Recycling Program offers a State-registered drop-off recycling center located at 315 Don Pasqual Rd, just north of the Fred Luna Multigenerational Center. The program aims to provide safe, economical, and uninterrupted recycling services to all residents, focusing on source reduction to protect natural resources and the environment while reducing landfill costs. They offer onsite cardboard pickup for local commercial businesses to divert old corrugated cardboard from the waste stream. Materials accepted at the center include cardboard, plastics (1 and 2), aluminum, metals, paper, white goods, glass, paints (only at the Transfer Station with proper documentation), oils (only at the Transfer Station with proper documentation), and electronics (TVs accepted at the Transfer Station with proper documentation). Plastic bags are not allowed in the recycling bin, and the center is closed on major holidays. For items not listed, visitors can contact the Recycle Operator, William Minier, for guidance or explore additional recycling vendors. Valencia County residents are directed to the Conejo Transfer Station for TV disposal.

Redd Matheson (1/5 stars, a month ago): I wish I could give you negative stars. I can not access this center due to its hours of operation. I can not risk getting dirty by emptying my bags before I go to work and it is closed when I am off from work. I have to pay some one to either take my items to the center (which I can not afford) or pay someone to take a large amount to the landfill (which is more expensive than my first option). It must be nice having a job where all afternoons and evenings are free your idea of public service hours are really not cohesive with the real public who do not get off work until 5 or 6 pm.

Reana 김 (Kim) (5/5 stars, 4 months ago): Edited review since the hours and recycling options have changed... Nice little recycling depot and easy to use. You will need to sort so please come ready to separate your stuff and do not cross contaminate. They accept glass tin aluminum cardboard mixed paper and plastics (#1-#7 separate bins for 1/2 and 3-7). They also have a section for electronic and other larger waste that I'm not totally clear on. PLASTIC BAGS CANNOT BE RECYCLED DON'T PUT BAGS IN ANY BIN. Pull in separate your stuff and drive home. Easy!
