On Sunday 7/13 I was charged for 50% more green waste than what my truck bed can actually hold. Upon exit I explained to the person working at the front that my bed was smaller than their estimate going so far as to show them the manufacturer’s specs for my vehicle. They then measured the EXTERNAL dimensions of my vehicle in an exaggerated manner and pretended that my bed was 80% bigger than it actually is. What I struggle with all of this is that by definition measurements are a constant. There’s literally no way to have a difference of opinion regarding them. All in all it was a pretty bad experience from a customer service perspective. I’ll be going to the Berkeley Transfer Station or Recology in SF in the future—both have friendlier staff and don’t charge for more than your vehicle can physically hold.

Pleasantly surprised I had avoided this location due to the reviews. Pros - they are open seven days a week and there is rarely a line. Cons - like others mentioned prices seem to fluctuate a bit depending on the attendant. Overall happy with the service.

I would have to agree that this place charges whatever the heck they want to and it I am sure depends on who's working. Today I drove in using a U-Haul and only a quarter of it was filled. Not even filled to the top or anything like that. It contained a couch a tire and a couple of other bags. This place charged me $180 for the dump run and the guy at the front was barely even interested in doing his job. He spent every second that he was not directly engaging with me watching basketball on his phone. This will be for sure the first and last time I come here.
