Gentilly Landfill LLC - Recycling Center in New Orleans, LA

Wish I could give zero stars hazard to tires suspension employees think your truck can go thru hazardous material/wet sand 12 inches deep. This place could be way nicer for what they charge employees have attitude and are just plain ignorant. IF THEY WOULD PUT DOWN LIMESTONE OR CRUSHED CONCRETE THIS PLACE WOULDNT BE SO BAD.

This place is creating a horrible living conditions for people who live near it. My sister lives in the East off of Chef Menteur Highway and several times a week you you can smell an awful odor in the air. She cannot go outside of her house when this odor is present.

This has got to be the worst landfill within 50 miles. For starters the wait is over an hour on any given day. There’s literally 1 person taking the money even with a line of customers outside the yard and down the street there is ZERO urgency here. These people couldn’t care less how many hours you sit in their line. Once you do finally make it inside you have yet another line waiting for you because the guys at the tops of the hill are clueless and the guys working dozer are a joke. They sit in there machine and never clear paths so be prepared for nails in your tire 90% of the time. My advice would be to go to River Birch on the westbank. Same amount of vehicles gets through in a fraction of the time. This place is poorly managed by incompetent people. Fire these lazy people.
