What are the facility hours?
March through November: Monday through Saturday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM (products loaded until 4:00 PM). December through February: Monday through Friday 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Office hours are 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM Monday through Friday. Closed on legal holidays.
How much does yard waste drop-off cost?
Small loads and cars cost $3. A full pickup truck or trailer under 8 feet costs $11. Trailers over 8 feet cost $19. Dump trucks cost $19. Side dumps and boom trucks cost $25.
What is the fee for food waste and compostables?
Wasted food and compostable materials cost $30 per 10 cubic yards. Bags cost $1.00 each or $10 for the equivalent of a pickup or small trailer. Plastic bags must be emptied; paper bags do not.
What are the stump drop-off fees?
Stumps must be clean of dirt and rock. Up to 24 inches costs $50 per stump. 24 to 36 inches costs $100 per stump. Larger than 36 inches costs $150 or more per stump after calling 406-552-6619 for prior approval.
Is there a PFAS warning for compost products?
Compost products may contain trace PFAS from food waste, biosolids, and food packaging. Users concerned about PFAS exposure may not want to use this product as soil for edible crops. See the city PFAS webpage for details.
Where do I pay and dump?
Stop at the Green Waste Inspector booth at 1125 Clark Fork Lane for payment and directions on where to dump in the yard.

Show about 4 years ago my local dump truck Guy brought me a load of ecocomm post that came from Missoula I have changed his name to the noxious weed guy I don't know what people in Missoula eat but they have every noxious reading on the man in their compost what a sad world the yuppiest place on the planet is the most poison

It’s a good concept but the fee increase is too much for being delivered free product for them to sell. I had a lot of branches which looked like a full truck but was mostly air and was charged $10.

Since the city took over the facility it's much improved. People are very helpful and friendly. Equipment is functioning and making compost - not breaking down every other day when EKO had it. Looks better organized and if a facility that makes "good dirt" can be considered clean that it is!
