Far West Recycling - Portland

Far West Recycling has served the Portland metro area since 1980 and was the first material recovery facility (MRF) to achieve RIOS certification. The facility accepts a broad mix of residential and commercial recyclables: paper (cardboard, scrap paper, magazines, office paper, aseptic cartons and books), plastic (#1 and #2 bottles), metals (tin cans, copper, aluminum and steel), electronics (computers, monitors, printers, laptops and TVs), and glass, which it processes through crushing, cleaning and separating to make new glass. Far West offers both curbside recycling and self-haul depot drop-off options.
