Erie Recycling Center - Recycling Center in Erie, CO

Just took my first trip to the recycling center and was pleased with how easy it was. David helped me figure out what goes where and even took some hard-to-recycle items that they end up taking to Eco-cycle. David was also extremely friendly and gave me some recommendations on things to do in the area since we’re new to the community. I’m very pleased with the service and will be going back any time our recycling can fills up.

It's just awesome. This is my tax dollars at work because I sure know that dumbing limbs from trees (Less than 12" diameter) in the dump does nothing but if my town can make its own mulch that's just smart.

Same experience as everyone else I guess. Have went here 3 times in the last 2 weeks and has been closed every time. I went to check on it today 11/2 and it was open. There is a pile of leaves which is what I would expect to see this time of year. I would have only assumed that this is where you dump leaves but there is a sign there that says "this is illegal dumping do not dump here or your plate will be reported to the police." It is very odd to me to put your leaves in the dumpsters? I am not impressed with the set up and have been frustrated every time I come here. As an Erie resident for 20 years and with the growth you think we could do better?
