About This Center

The City of Edinburg Resources Recovery Center, located at 3102 S. US-281 BUS in Edinburg, offers drive-thru drop-off convenience for recyclable materials such as cardboard, newspaper, magazines, paper, aluminum cans, tin steel cans, plastics 1 & 2, motor oil, and lead-acid batteries. They also provide educational programs and events to promote recycling awareness. Accepted items include white office paper, plastics 1 & 2 (including bottles and food containers), aluminum, steel, tin cans, glass, cardboard, newspapers, magazines, and lead-acid batteries. Items like paint, tires, light bulbs, ceramics, and certain types of glass are not accepted. The center is open Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 6:30 PM and on weekends from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, closed on holidays. Frank O (1/5 stars, 3 months ago): There needs to be a better way of dropping of our recyclables at the center. There are times that you wait a long time with people needing to recycle a ton of items. There are currently 10 cars waiting. We need a park and recycle instead of a "drive thru"

Dancing Water (5/5 stars, 3 months ago): Convenient location; convenient hours; recycle 1&2 plastic cardboard paper tin cans aluminum cans glass. I'm very grateful to have this excellent recycling depot near my home. It beats chucking EVERYTHING in the trash bin which is then dumped into a toxic unregulated landfill. Wish I could do more for Mother Earth...
