City of McAllen Recycling Center - Recycling Center in McAllen, TX

Awesome facility for McAllen residents. You will need a picture ID as well as your most recent utility bill for free recycling. Very pleasant guard available at the entrance to direct you. ( Tip: take the 1st left after the guard booth and the employees around back will guide you to the receptacle you're looking for..metals electronics debris batteries you name it.) Do your part it's quick and easy. Keep McAllen and The Valley beautiful

We came to fill sandbags to prepare for the bad weather and possible flooding we were amazed by how organized the City of McAllen was during this time. We were given 6 bags that we had to fill on our own but there was a lane that was specifically for elderly and disabled and they were given premade sandbags bags. It was a beautiful gesture. Although it was extremely hot outside all employees were very kind and helpful. Thank you so much!

Considering how little traffic they get you would think their customer service would be great… it’s not… went to the window asked about payment options. Came back with acceptable payment. She then tells me oh you have to spend $10 dollars. I look at her in disbelief. (You would think me asking about payment options she would go the extra yard and mention before hand that there’s a minimum.) but all she did was point at a paper taped to the window small paragraph stating that…. Idk maybe it’s just me.
