What materials are accepted at the drop-off center?

The drop-off center accepts styrofoam, cardboard, plastic, plastic bags, paper, aluminum cans, household batteries, glass jars and bottles, scrap metal, and tin cans. Paint, electronics, and lightbulbs are accepted only on periodic Special Recycling Days.

What is not accepted at the recycling center?

The center does not accept medical waste, aerosol cans, paint (outside of special events), or tires. Automotive batteries and motor oil can be taken to the Walmart Auto Care Center at 170 E Fort Morgan Road. Gasoline, household chemicals, pool chemicals, tires, and insecticides go to the Baldwin County Magnolia Landfill.

How do I set up curbside garbage or recycling pickup?

Curbside garbage is handled by Republic Services — contact them at 888-425-7667. For debris pickup or other Public Works questions, call the city at 251-968-1156 or email adenk@gulfshoresal.gov.

Great facility to help clean up with waste we produce. Cardboard plastic electronic we are here visiting but have used the site many times. Easy access and disposal - City is doing their part.

Our area doesn't have a recycling pickup and we found this on line. Very convenient & simple to use. From cardboard to plastic bags. You can recycle everything. Awesome

THE most well put together and complete recycling centers I've ever seen. They take styrofoam glass plastics cardboard used oils ( cooking motor etc. ) electronics and other random things.
