The City of Fayetteville operates two permanent self-service recycling drop-off sites that are open to the public 24 hours a day: Happy Hollow Recycling Drop-Off at 1420 S. Happy Hollow Road and Marion Orton Recycling Drop-Off at 735 W. North Street. Accepted materials include aluminum and steel/tin cans, flattened corrugated cardboard and paperboard, glass bottles and jars of all colors, mixed paper and newspaper, #1 and #2 plastic bottles and jugs, alkaline and lithium batteries, aerosol cans, and holiday light strands. The sites are for recyclables only and do not take hazardous waste, electronics, scrap metal, or bulky items. Food waste compostables can also be dropped off at the Happy Hollow location.

This transfer station is poorly designed and managed. I’m happy to take my business elsewhere even if it means I have to drive an extra 30 min out of the way. City of Fayetteville can and should do better.

OMG Braxton the guard at the booth is so disrespectful he yelled at me today really with fighting words he thinks he owns the place and yelling at me saying that if I don't like his attitude I can stop using this transfer station. This guy really needs to get some real customer service training. Besides that the transfer station is very clean.

The guy at the scales that weighs your vehicle and you pay. Definitely seems like he's pretty miserable he's less than friendly. But the dump itself is easy to use as long as there's not a big line. I guess when you work for the city you can act however you want. You would think you're the face of a brand name I.e the city of Fayetteville that you would act a little more normal. I've never liked when someone acts like i'm doing them a favor when they're providing a service to me.
