Choctaw Nation Recycling collects and processes recyclable materials across the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma, diverting waste from the landfill and returning revenue to the tribe. The program operates recycling centers and numerous public drop-off sites, including a CNO Recycling Center at 3408 Wes Watkins Blvd in Durant. Accepted materials must be clean, dry, and empty, and include aluminum cans, cardboard, paper such as magazines, phone books, junk mail, and newspaper, plastic bags and film, plastics numbered 1, 2, and 5, printer ink cartridges, shredded paper, steel and tin cans, and Styrofoam.
