Bowling Green Recycling Center runs a drop-off on North College Drive that stays open 24 hours every day. Signs at each container guide the sorting, and unsorted or improperly prepared loads go to the landfill. The drop-off serves household volumes only, so large loads belong on weekdays before 1 p.m.
The center takes clothes and shoes, glass bottles and jars, scrap metal, aluminum beverage cans, plastic bottles, cardboard, mixed paper, shredded office paper, and steel cans. Refrigerators, air conditioners, and dehumidifiers are refused, along with plastics other than bottles, books, drink cartons, light bulbs, mirrors, yard waste, plastic bags, polystyrene, motor oil, and paint.

Nice place to take recycling at any time of the day 7 days a week. Mainly cardboard recycling but there are other options like plastic cans and metal. There is not a bin for other plastics. Accessible at any time of the day.

Convenient organized clear signs well lit and automatic doors are nice if you're carrying a lot. And best part- FREE and great for the environment.

Always clean. Well lit. Straight forward. Now have bins outside (which makes it a bit easier to unload) but blocked off every other lane during the pandemic. It can definitely get backed up during busy times.
