Bennett Road Transfer Station

Elmore County's Bennett Road Landfill facility in Mountain Home, ID offers free disposal of the first 2000 pounds of household waste per year for residents, with subsequent waste incurring a charge of $20.00 per ton. Yard waste, tree limbs, and leaves are accepted for free, but must be separated from household waste. Construction and demolition materials must be cut into 8-foot sections or less and are charged at $20.00 per ton. Dead animals and household pets are accepted for free, while refrigerators, freezers, and air conditioners incur a $25.00 fee for Freon removal. Commercial yard waste is charged at $5.00 per ton. No hazardous waste, dead livestock, or large animals are accepted at any of the facilities. Tires are accepted with fees of $3.00 each without a rim and $4.00 each with a rim. Commercial contractors' waste is now accepted, and all fees must be paid upon delivery.
