An absolutely great resource for reducing how much garbage I have to pay to get rid of as well as what goes in the landfill. Besides the normal stuff they also take petroleum based recycle and batteries (the Coupeville recycle also takes fluorescent bulbs and things styrofoams a no go everywhere even the recycle by Freeland. Special equipment needed) The staff are working hard and are as helpful as they need to be (they’re working in what’s basically a dump not a restaurant) I appreciate what we’ve got and the people who make it work. If you want to get yelled at for doing everything wrong then this is the place to do your recycling! Accidentally put the “wrong cardboard” in the cardboard area and the worker lady came a screamed and yelled at me how I don’t know what I am doing and need to learn how to read. She then followed me everywhere and was scolding me about all my recycling habits on how some cans are squished and some weren’t and so on. People and places like this make me miss the days we can burn it all.

A great local convenient resource for recycling. Always have had great interactions with the staff even if I had something that wasn’t accepted even when it didn’t make sense based on my limited knowledge of the recycling world. I think a positive experience starts with me being curious and respectful to others.
