ACE Intermountain Recycling Center (AIRC) operates a waste transfer station at 1240 Wallace Rd, Salt Lake City, UT 84104, serving commercial haulers, contractors, and municipalities in Northern Utah since 2015. The Salt Lake City location accepts municipal solid waste and construction and demolition debris, but does not accept public residential recycling or pay for materials. Mixed recycling and corrugated cardboard are accepted at the Pleasant Grove location only. Beginning January 1, 2026, untarped or partially tarped loads are charged double per Utah State Law 72-7-410.

Does AIRC purchase or pay for recycling materials?

No. AIRC does not purchase or pay for recycling and does not accept public residential recycling at any of its transfer stations.

What happens if my load is untarped?

Beginning January 1, 2026, all untarped or partially tarped loads at AIRC transfer stations will be charged double to comply with Utah State Law 72-7-410.

Does the Salt Lake City location accept mixed recycling?

No. Mixed recycling and clean corrugated cardboard are accepted only at the Pleasant Grove location (249 W 700 S, Pleasant Grove, UT 84062).

What are the Salt Lake City transfer station hours?

Monday through Friday 5:00 AM to 6:00 PM, and Saturday 6:00 AM to noon. The station is closed Sundays, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, and New Year's Day.

It was an okay company to work for Most coworkers were great but they treat employee's unfairly there. To put in perspective 3 years there with no promotion And brand new guy shows up And 6 months later he was promoted twice ahead of you. Very poor management!

We watched as this truck was in the far left lane on the freeway and then cut off a car to get back into the next right lane. We were about 100 yards to the left of him(once he did get over) and starting to pass when a large rock or something very large flew off his truck and caused a huge/deep crack or hole at this point in my windshield. Little rocks continued to come off as we passed.

Flagrant violation of noise laws. The law is no noise till 8 AM 8 AM + please . Not 5:30 AM ! Ho ho ho... You think I'm talking about your facility? No I'm not. Next time I'll add photos & videos Silly response! I'm talking about your trash trucks in Holladay behind Black Diamond & Millbrook offices being tipped VERY LOUDLY before 8 AM ! Once at 5:40 AM a few weeks ago and today 1/6/25 at 7:20 AM.
