Importapart is a salvage operation in Hazelwood, Missouri that specializes in imports. Every part on the shelves comes from a vehicle the shop tore down itself, and the company has been pulling, testing, and shipping used parts since 2014. Inventory centers on engines, transmissions, engine computers, and exterior parts, with rebuilt electronics through a sister company called Pro-Rebuild. Parts are tested in-house and shipped, and the owner, Eric, also runs the I Do Cars engine teardown channel on YouTube. The shop on Hazelwood Avenue is open weekdays only.

5200 E. Red Bridge Rd
(816) 561-1087
Wednesday to Saturday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Bridging The Gap manages the Red Bridge (South) center on East Red Bridge Road, one of three KCMO community recycling drop-off centers. It takes every material accepted in Kansas City curbside recycling plus extras, and it operates Wednesday through Saturday. Red Bridge accepts cardboard, mixed paper, paperboard, paper cartons, hardcover books, glass in any color, tin cans, aluminum foil and pie plates, and plastic bottles, jugs, and tubs coded #1, #2, #4, or #5. Small electronics (phones, laptops, tablets, cameras, e-readers) and OEM toner and inkjet cartridges also go in. This site and the Deramus center take scrap metal such as fence, sheet metal, bike frames, and electrical wire, and Red Bridge alone takes packing peanuts and bubble wrap. Plastic film goes to the manager on site, and frozen food packaging stays out because metro Kansas City cannot recycle it.
