Robertson Metal Recycling

7012274947

Mon-Fri 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM · Sat-Sun Closed

4.3 (15 reviews)

Robertson Metal Recycling started in hides and furs in 1981, switched to strictly scrap in 1992, and moved from Hettinger to its Dickinson yard in 2016. The Robertson family still owns it, and its demolition history includes coal shovels, draglines, and coal mines in North Dakota and Montana, obsolete oil rigs, and three Minuteman missile dismantle projects between 1999 and 2001. The yard at 195 28th Avenue East buys prepared and unprepared iron, tin, cars, shred, copper in several grades, brass, aluminum, insulated wire, lead, radiators, stainless, auto batteries, and electric motors. Prepared iron must measure at least 3 feet by 18 inches, and aerosol cans need holes punched and drained. Roll-off boxes in 15, 20, and 30 yard sizes carry scrap metal only, with no garbage or hazardous material, and go to customers outside Dickinson too. The yard also sells sucker rod.

Construction Debris Recycling in Dickinson: FAQ

Where can I dump concrete in Dickinson, ND?

Concrete and asphalt recyclers often take clean loads for a low fee or free, since they crush it into base material. Mixed debris costs more and usually goes to a transfer station or C&D landfill.

Do I need to separate construction debris?

Separated loads of clean concrete, metal, or wood are cheaper to drop off than mixed loads. Ask the site how it prices each material.

Is drywall recyclable?

Clean scrap drywall can be recycled at some facilities, but painted or demolition drywall usually cannot. Call ahead.
