WM - Reno Recycling Facility - Recycling Center in Reno, NV

They have cleaned up the single stream drop-off area but people still ignore the posted rules. (People do not understand what is Not Recyclable). Many careless Nevadans consider the new yellow bins free dumping or are obsessive about every little item they collect to recycle. There are no employees present. Hours are short and weekdays only; there is no more dedicated metal drop-off there. The nearby cardboard receiving site is popular but again comingled non-recyclables like styrofoam and sheet plastic usually found in the pikle. Zero effort at the drop-off point to cull this contamination. In general this is a "feel-good" effort. WM is "the US's largest pitiful helpless giant" said Gulliver Green. Photos would not help this long-standing hypocrisy.

My trash can bin is thrashed to hell- all cracked big ol’ hole in it missing wheels…live how they just ignore it. Guess I’ll call and wait on hold forever to ask if they can replace it. *Sigh*

Disposing of my larger debris was so simple and it was free. My first experience with the transfer station was wonderful. The smell wasn’t too exciting but it was a short time period. Disposing was fast speedy and free. I’m so pleased.
