The WIN Waste Bridgeport waste-to-energy facility, located at 6 Howard Avenue, Bridgeport, CT, operates Monday to Friday from 1:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Saturday from 1:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. This facility diverts residential and commercial waste from landfills, converting approximately 737,000 tons of post-recycled waste annually into renewable energy, enough to power 43,900 local homes and businesses. It processes 2,250 tons of waste each day and recovers 19,000 tons of metals for recycling each year. The facility is not open to the public but accepts special waste. WIN Waste is committed to sustainability, reducing greenhouse gas emissions, and actively engages with the community to promote environmental initiatives.
