Western Recycling - Recycling Center in Fruitland, ID

Terrible customer service at Western Recycling in Fruitland. Every time I go the same guy acts like I’m an inconvenience standing next to me suspiciously as I sort my materials. It’s as if he forgets that the only reason this place exists is because people bring them recyclables. On top of that their hours are completely unreliable. Their website clearly states they’re open until 5 PM but when I arrived at 4:30 I was told they actually close at 4:30. When I pointed out that they need to update their site the employee shrugged it off saying “Well you can’t trust it it says we’re open Saturdays and Sundays too.” So they know their website is wrong but they don’t care enough to fix it. This is a recurring issue with this guy—he acts like recycling is the most important thing in the world but has zero customer service skills. If you can take your materials somewhere else. Republic Services really needs to work on their customer service and how they treat the people who make their business possible. I would give a negative review if I could.

Had a load of cardboard to drop off. Got there at 11:50 am on a Tuesday morning. Gate was closed and no one answered the phone. Cars there but apparently no one working. Waste of time.
