Paid almost $400 for the two bags. Come to find out they cancelled my order with no notice and charged me $50 as a trip fee... Why did they cancel? After talking to a rep they said that they pick up between 5am and 8pm and when the person came to pick up our trash very early in the morning because we didnt have one of our cars far enough away from the trash bag they just cancelled. No call no knock at the door to try and work with us to get our car moved and the trash picked up... If I am paying almost $400 for your service to just pick up my trash you need to work with the customer and not have the employees cancel the trip without any contact to the customer with issues that can be easily fixed... We could have had our car moved within 30secs if they had just knocked on our door to talk but no they would rather cancel my order get a free $50 dollars from me and then tell me my only option is to reorder for pick up and pay sloe to $400 again. Word of advice if you have junk that fills more than one waste bag from this company just go somewhere else and pay a bit more for actual people to come load your trash and take it. $400 for me to load all the trash and set the bags in our driveway just for them to cancel at the smallest inconvenience.

The primary issue? The station's rigid policy requiring visitors to present a copy of their Edmond water bill as proof of residency. In today's digital age who carries around a physical copy of their utility bill? This policy is not only archaic but also highly impractical. Like most people I assumed that my driver's license which displays my current Edmond address would suffice as adequate proof of residency. However this was not the case. This experience is emblematic of a broader issue with the city of Edmond's approach to public services - a tendency to prioritize rigid policies over practicality and user convenience. Such an approach is not only out of touch but also serves to alienate the very residents it is meant to serve. my experience at the Edmond Transfer Station was far from satisfactory. It's high time the city reevaluates its policies and procedures to better align with the practical realities and needs of its residents. Edmond we deserve better.
