Washington State Recycling
About This Center
Don't bag your recyclables as it causes sorting issues and can lead to recyclables being sent to the landfill. Keep recyclables loose in your bin and ensure they are empty, clean, and dry. Accepted items include cardboard, paper, plastic bottles, metal cans, glass bottles, and certain plastics, while items like food, liquids, plastic bags, takeout containers, batteries, and hazardous waste should be kept out. Cleaning recyclables helps maintain their value and prevents contamination. Recycling facilities sort out non-recyclables, but it's important to avoid putting non-recyclable items in the bin to ensure the materials can be properly recycled. Check local recycling guidelines for specific instructions on what can be recycled in your area. Remember to keep your recycling cart closed to prevent contamination from rain or snow.

Mary Jane Harlan (1/5 stars, a year ago): On google it says that the recycling center is open Monday through Saturday. I went to the recycling center on Monday and the sign said it was only open Tuesday through Saturday. I am disappointed because I live in Sequim and had to drive all the way there.
