Gene Henry Memorial Recycle Center
The Gene Henry Memorial Recycle Center in Hoyt Lakes offers recycling services for plastic, glass, tin, aluminum, papers, magazines, catalogs, corrugated cardboard, and yard waste, as well as accepting fluorescent tubes. The center is closed on City Holidays. Operating hours are Monday and Wednesday from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM, and Saturday from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Additionally, the Aurora Transfer Station is open on Monday, Thursday, and Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Tuesday and Wednesday from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM, and Saturday from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Accepted payment methods include check, credit card, gift card, or solid waste coupon. The station handles disposal of residential wastes such as yard waste, scrap metal, auto batteries, used motor oil, drained oil motor filters, tires, 4 ft fluorescent tubes, and appliances.
