Four generations of the Reitman family have worked this Campbell County salvage business, which began as an auto parts store and added a garage in 1927. Randy Reitman standardized much of the dismantling routine, from removing a door the right way to color codes and the information recorded on each car. Late-model foreign and domestic vehicles, 2008 to current, make up the inventory, and the yard processes about 500 of them a year. Each car is logged on arrival, and the computerized inventory system dates to 1991. Parts that are no longer usable are discarded, so what reaches the shelf is the best of each vehicle, and every part carries a 90-day warranty. The yard is a Current Car Certified Yard, and the counter is open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
