East Hernando Convenience Center at 33070 Cortez Boulevard in Ridge Manor is a Hernando County drop-off for residents who pay the solid waste assessment. It is open Tuesday through Saturday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Recycling and household hazardous waste are free when sorted. Convenience fees apply to bagged garbage, bulk household waste, and yard waste.

Who can use this site?
Residents of Hernando County properties that pay the solid waste disposal assessment. Bring proof of ownership or residency. Businesses, vacant lots, and multifamily properties with more than four units must use the Northwest Solid Waste Facility.
What does it cost?
Recycling and household hazardous waste (within limits) are free. Bagged household garbage is $5 for up to five 60-gallon bags. Bulk household waste or more than five bags is $15. Yard waste is $15. Fees took effect June 1, 2026.
