Recycling Center - Oklahoma City

AS OF 10/07/2024...NOT CLOSED! Google shows this temporarily closed but it is not. I assume it is left over from when SE 74th was closed but it's open now. Bad news is they took away the 5 large bins and put ONE bin that has the very small openings. I collect a lot of recyclables and have used a LARGE box to take up...now it's all but impossible to easily unload/empty that box without dumping it all over the place. I know they are trying to reduce trash dumping but with only ONE bin there is plenty of room for general dumping of all sorts of crap.

We need MORE places like this! But all to often people either ignorant or just trashy people abuse this place. And it’s a place with a good purpose!!! And WM does do an excellent job cleaning up after all the thrashers! These pictures are from 10/03/2023.

Had plenty of room in the bins when I visited. No need to separate different types of recycling according to the signs. No glass as with any other general recycling facility in the area. Would appreciate it if they would specify this on any references to the facility on the city website. For glass reach out to Fertile Grounds Oklahoma City.
