The East Side Recycling Center is the second drop-off site of Pickens County Recycling, at 9720 Cove Rd in Marble Hill, with the main center on Appalachian Court in Jasper. It takes all recyclables except appliances, covering cardboard, mixed paper, plastics #1 and #2, aluminum, steel and other metal, and glass.
The county program takes only lead-acid batteries, turns away CRT televisions and monitors, and rejects pizza boxes because grease and cheese contaminate the paper stream. Free paper shredding for white office paper runs at the Appalachian Court center. Pickens County Recycling serves the county and the North Georgia region.
