Clark County Solid Waste District
About This Center
Keep Clark County Beautiful is promoting the Greatest American Cleanup program to remove 25 billion pieces of litter from parks, waterways, and public spaces by July 4, 2026. They are seeking volunteers to clean up litter and spruce up Clark County from March 20 through June 20, 2025, providing gloves, trash bags, and disposal of trash, as well as a small token for each participant. Additionally, they are looking for businesses to participate in the Make Clark County A Litter Bit Better program, where the Solid Waste District provides cleanup supplies for volunteer initiatives. High school students with a 3.0 GPA can apply to be a youth representative on the board of directors for the 2025-26 school year. The Community Cleanup Trailer is available for groups of at least 5 adult volunteers for neighborhood beautification projects from March 15 through Nov. 15, with reservations taken on a first-come, first-serve basis. Visitors can also check out Keep Clark County Beautiful's Facebook page for tips on waste reduction and information on their projects.

Bruce Stanfill (5/5 stars, 7 years ago): The staff were very friendly and extremely helpful. I dropped off some old VCR and cassette tapes a lot of cardboard and 40 lbs of documents needing to be shredded ($0.15/lb sure beats the $1/lb at office-supply stores!). And all of it done by a convenient drive-through process.
