City of Louisville Branch Recycling Site
About This Center
The City of Louisville offers various services for garden and yard waste disposal, including drop-off and collection of leaves, grass clippings, compostable bags, and branches for Republic customers. Residents participating in the city-wide solid waste program through Republic Services can access compost collection and disposal services, with the option to upgrade to a 96-gallon compost cart at no extra cost. Republic also conducts curbside leaf branch collection events in spring and fall, allowing for the collection of compostable bags and bundles of shrubbery and tree limbs. Additionally, there is a Branch Recycle Site available to Louisville residents for woody plant material disposal, with proof of residency required. Mulch is available for self-serve pickup year-round, and free compost is offered to residents on the first weekend of every month starting in April until supplies last. The compost provided is EcoGro Certified Class 1 garden compost, suitable for various plant types and soil types, and can be used as a soil amendment or top dressing. Visitors can also access free mulch at the Branch Recycle Site for self-service pickup.

Rob Carpenter (5/5 stars, a year ago): Always had a good experience dropping of debris and brush here and really enjoy all the compost in the spring. Hours can be a little funky but as long as you go at the right time it's a good service.
