About this center

The City of Clarksville Recycle Center, located at 1410 Oakland Street, offers a variety of recycling services and features a sustainability education center. The center accepts many types of recyclable materials and educates visitors on the importance of recycling common household items. Notable information includes the fact that a recycled aluminum can be back on the grocery store shelf within 90 days, contrasting with the 500 years it would take to decompose if thrown on the side of the road. The Recycle Center operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week, with a dedicated staff member maintaining the facility, transporting recyclables to transfer stations, and assisting customers when available. I must admit I was completely surprised. I love this idea! Clarksville is doing the right thing for their town their community and the environment. It was nice and clean. They even take glass!! Forgot to stop by the recycle bins in my town of Altus before going to Clarksville I was so excited when I seen it it's just so nice. They have carts so you don't have to make several trips you can just use the cart. Bins are easy to read/see what goes where. Great Job Clarksville!! So proud of you.

This was a really great idea for Clarksville. I love the ease of taking my recyclables and putting them in their respective bins. They are get really full so I know that the community is doing their part to keep Clarksville Clean.
