Central Disposal

M Premo (1/5 stars, 6 months ago): Dear residents of the City of Shawnee I am curious which action you would consider more concerning: A) Lifting a dumpster into an overhead powering while attempting to empty it...... or...... B) Handling a dead animal without using gloves. Let me explain why I ask.... While sitting at your local library I watched a middle-aged mildly overweight woman with whitish blonde hair in an official-looking uniform exit a white pickup truck with bar lights mounted above the cab and the words "ANIMAL CONTROL" written on the side. Using my keen sense of deductive logic I assumed she was an animal control officer and City employee. She in no way appeared to have Haitian decent but I watched anyway hoping to see her capture an escaped gorilla / tiger / velociraptor. Disappointingly she exited the truck with a white bag and placed a dead cat from the yard between the library and the adjacent hamburger joint without using gloves. I can only hope this is not a budget cut. Then...... not long after and not to be outdone...... I witnessed an equally intelligent truck driver from Central Disposal lift a metal dumpster with a metal trash truck behind the aforementioned hamburger joint right into a powerline. I could not warn him as the windows in the library are pretty thick but I filmed the powerline swaying after the dumpsterbump in hopes it would remain intact. The driver unlike the cat did not have to use one of his lives and was able to back up empty the dumpster and complete his job without anything additionally life-threatening or entertaining. Also fortunately the grease-trap guy in the video did not appear to be harmed in any way. I tried to phone Central Disposal three times before 5pm but was met only with an automated response saying my call was past their closing time... which is 5pm according to Google Maps. Going home early on a Friday is one thing but leaving early on a MONDAY is next level dedication. I know what your thinking..... "Did the cat eat at the hamburger joint?" "How can we blame the homeless population?" and...... "We have a library?" Although blissfully oblivious to most near-death experiences the grease-trap guy can no doubt answer your inquiries.

Dustin Spiwak (1/5 stars, 4 months ago): This company and their so-called “customer service staff” should be taken out to the landfill with the rest of the garbage. I was left without a dumpster for 11 days starting 11/22/2024 after the trash truck ate my dumpster (clearly at no fault of my own). I’m given some bullcrap timeline of 3-5 business days to get a new dumpster when the following week is Thanksgiving. And when I asked for a credit to my account after finally receiving a replacement on 12/03/2024 I am told that I will not receive one because I received a replacement dumpster within the allotted timeline given although it was not delivered until which 6 business days after notifying them. It is extremely unfortunate that Central Disposal LLC has a monopoly on trash pickup within city limits and you are forced to use them. The same woman who said that I would not receive a credit then informed me that I could have used the transfer station which was NEVER offered as an option by either of the two other women I spoke with.

Carlos Neal (1/5 stars, 4 months ago): I'm on an Earlsboro rural route and I've paid 180 dollars to them and have never had my trash picked up. My dumpster is overflowing and I've been promised I'll have it dumped each week. Very poor service. Am looking for another company.
