CACRC at 1400 Main Street in Baton Rouge is Louisiana's only R2 certified e-waste recycler. The nonprofit recycles computers and other electronics, refurbishes devices for discounted community sales with a 1-year hardware warranty, and provides ADISA-certified data destruction for businesses. Commercial pickup is available with a Certificate of Destruction.

The recycling dock is open Tuesday through Friday 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The dock is closed on Mondays.

How do I schedule a business pickup?

Call (225) 379-3577 or email recycle@cacrc.com to set up a pickup. CACRC provides a Certificate of Destruction and secures your data.

What data destruction methods are available?

CACRC uses ADISA-certified erasure software meeting NIST 800-88 and DOD 5520.22-M standards, including cryptographic erasure, block erase, and block overwrite. Physical destruction is available with an AMS-150 shredder.

Do refurbished computers include a warranty?

Yes. Refurbished computers sold through community programs include a 1-year hardware warranty.

When to pick up a load and those guys put me to wait for over 4 hrs. Definitely not going back again. Also drivers be very careful taking that left turn on that small street to back up on the loading dock because if you end up on the train rails you will get stock.

This is one of the best things about Baton Rouge. While you can provide computers for low budget families you can also get real computers for businesses at a very low price and with a guarantee. Most importantly the employees are incredibly good. They do their jobs not for money but for happiness. Thank you we are glad you exist.

These are wonderful people .... I have been using them for 3 years now and have always been impressed by their honesty and integrity .... I see other people have given them 1 star all I can say it that perhaps they were in a bad space within. They employees have always been polite and helpful.
