Accepted materials are paper, newspapers, magazines, and cardboard, number 1 and 2 plastic containers, clear, green, and brown glass bottles and jars, steel, tin, and aluminum cans, cell phones, and rechargeable batteries. The center also collects used cooking oil, and engine, hydraulic, transmission, and gear oil from individuals only, up to 5 gallons per customer. Oil filters and antifreeze are accepted here. A certified public scale weighs most vehicles except large tractor trailer rigs, and a fee applies. Satellite recycling trailers around Killeen supplement the center.
