1137 Mitchell Rd

All American Recycling buys ferrous and non-ferrous scrap at its Aurora yard on Mitchell Road, one of three Chicagoland locations alongside Joliet and Blue Island. The yard takes sheet iron, plate and structural steel, auto cast including rotors, brake drums and springs, copper, brass, aluminum, stainless steel, and lead. Drop-off loads are weighed and paid by weight. Contractors get container service from the company: can trailers, lugger boxes, gaylord boxes, hoppers, roll-off boxes and van trailers, plus live-load trucks for tight job sites. The company also runs a wire chopping line, dismantles railcars, and sends an in-house crew to small demolition jobs. Consumers bring appliances, batteries, and holiday lights. The company belongs to ReMA and the National Demolition Association.

Belson Steel Center Scrap began in 1960 as one truck and a lean-to and now processes more than 100,000 tons a year on a 16-acre Bourbonnais site. The family-owned yard buys ferrous, non-ferrous, and electronic scrap with no appointment, any load size, and cash payment, and it is open six days a week with Spanish spoken. Kankakee County residents in participating municipalities drop off e-scrap free through the county program. Industrial customers get containers and trailers placed on site, from roll-offs in 20 to 65 yard sizes to 48-foot flatbeds and high-side gondolas, with scheduled pickups. Belson also runs building and industrial demolition, torch cutting at customer sites, and wind farm decommissioning, and sells new and reusable steel from a 35,000-square-foot warehouse and a one-acre yard. A Chicago Heights subsidiary handles railcar dismantling.
