The Westside Pump Station drop-off center is the City of Richardson's recycling site at Cottonwood Drive and Beltline Road. It is open to Richardson residents from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m., seven days a week, including residents in areas served by the blue bag curbside program. The site takes recyclables such as plastic containers, corrugated cardboard, and newspapers. Non-recyclable material stays out, and paint is turned away at this location.

Cardboard Recycling in Richardson: FAQ
Where can I drop off a lot of cardboard in Richardson, TX?
Municipal drop-off sites and transfer stations usually take flattened boxes free. For large commercial volumes, a recycler may provide a baler or container and sometimes pays for clean bales.
Does cardboard need to be clean?
Flatten boxes and remove packing foam and plastic. Normal tape and labels are fine, and a little grease on a pizza box is accepted by most programs. Wet or soaked cardboard is not.
Do recyclers pay for cardboard?
Only in bulk. Baled, clean corrugated cardboard is a commodity, but household quantities are not worth paying for.
