brittany York (1/5 stars, 2 weeks ago): Customer service lady was nice. Three weeks in a row trash bin was damaged. First week the lid was snapped in half and a crack from top to bottom ran down the entire bin. I had to call twice to get it replaced. They did not come when they said they would the first time. Second week the lid was broken off again and they wouldn’t replace it third week the handle hinge broken. According to them it could take 3 months to get a refund for the rest of the quarterly service that was paid for. Going with Borden.

Brandon (1/5 stars, 4 months ago): Do yourself a favor and use ANY other service if you have any other option. I signed up for trash and yard service with this company in July. They failed to deliver my bin and claimed that they couldn't find my home. I spoke with them to get this corrected. After 3 weeks from when I paid for service I had a single bin. I called to ask where my yard service bin was. They informed me that I had misunderstood and yard service would only take leaves and grass clippings that were properly placed in paper bags (that I supplied) at the street. I explained that I didn't want the service because that was useless to me. After all the run-around I decided to call another service and sign up with them instead. I called LRS to cancel and pick up their bin. They did not show up when they said they would so I had to leave their bin at the curb for multiple weeks. Once they had picked up the bin I received a bill for a month of service. The trouble with that is that I had already paid for 3 months of service when I signed up. I called to discuss this with them and explained that I didn't owe them money but they owed me a refund for 2 months of service. They agreed and corrected things in their system. The total refund was something like $82. This was in early August. It is now nearing the end of November. I've called at least once per month to inquire about my refund and keep getting promises that is moving along and a check should be coming in the mail. I still have not received my refund for 2 months of service. I was okay paying them for a month (during which time they never even took my garbage) to avoid conflict. I've run out of patience.

You would think someone at corporate would take notice that this Niles facility is "falling short" of customer expectations! While the fact that prices have gone up 40% in less than 2 years is definitely an issue - I think the REAL ISSUE is with the SALES REPRESENTATIVE who when I decided that I would not be continuing chose to threaten legal action for what she claims are a remaining TWO MONTHS on a contract that actually expired in 2024. BTW - you are "required" to send a CERTIFIED LETTER to them repeating what you've said by phone AND by e-mail in order for them to actually recognize that you're ending the agreement! Forcing customers to stay with you through threats intimidation and endless and arbitrary hoop-jumping just doesn't sound like a formula for good customer relations. To be fair this has nothing to do with the people who actually perform the trash pick-up but the attempts at manipulation followed by threats should stand as warning to stay far away from this company. UPDATE - April 10 2025 - As angry as I was I didn't think my faith could be restored but I was wrong. LRS Account Manager Caden P. made a point of stopping in to apologize and attempt resolution regarding the "issues" raised above. He listened to what I had to say and he offered viable solutions. While I am not sure if we'll be able to come to a new arrangement I am extremely grateful to Caden for taking his job seriously and being both professional and helpful. Had I spoken with him from the first I can almost guarantee that we would have continued our service with LRS without interruption. Thank you Caden. Your efforts are appreciated!
